-Gisbert is a Mountain Dwarf who lives in the valley region on the River Krev between Chancel and the Veil. The Dwarves are conservative, isolationist folk who prefer holding back the darkness from their redoubts rather than go out into the greater world. It is up to outcasts, such as Gisbert, to continue the good fight.

-Dwarves venerate ancestors over Saints or Gods and are represented by runes. Gisbert's runes include Hildbert Highforge (His Great Grandfather) and Duncan (King of Crownguard, Clan Thane that Gisbert hails from). His hammer, shield, and warpick have at least one of the runes of his ancestors inscribed to them.

-His scarred face and quiet mannerism leave him wanting as far as Charisma is concerned. He is strong, tough, and is perceptive. His main attack is using a war pick to puncture into enemies. His main social maneuver is quietly listening and few words. His main profession is that of a smith.

-Fighting style is 'Protection' and is a nod to Mountain Dwarf styles of using the phalanx when confronting monsters that have tried to breach into the mountain strongholds.
