Savage Forgotten Realms: Halfling Militia & Paladin of Torm

Sometimes we just need an NPC, sometimes we just want some characters we can quickly produce for our players. Below are a couple of sample characters that can be quickly plugged into Faerun and other fantastical settings.

Halfling Militia Courier
(20 XP; Seasoned; Strongheart Halfling)

Armory: Shortsword: Str+d6; Knife: Str+d4 (Thrown: 3/6/12)

-You are a member of a local militia such as Hilltop, Neverwinter, or Icewind Dale - one of the scenic locales of the North. Your specialty is being a courier, running messages or plans between towns and units that may mean the difference between life and death.

-You are something of a fighter type with a decent fighting score and several edges that put you one step of the enemy. In a party, you might consider skirmishing. Striking when larger allies tackle foes and using a combination of quick cuts and the Taunt ability to keep them off-balance.

-You are a Strongheart Halfling. You are more industrious and serious compared to the Lightfoot branch, but you smile more and moderately enjoy a good time compared to the Ghostwise branch.

Arcana: Power Points: 10; Powers: Healing (Symbol of Healing), Smite (Smite Evil), Holy Warrior (Turn Evil)

-You are a Paladin of Torm. A servant of the silver hand and a champion of good. Evil that stirs in the world, it shall tremble in your wake.

-You are native to the Dalelands, defending it from the likes of evil Drow, the shadowy Zhentarim, and other threats of the region. Evil often feels your wrath through your Turn Evil ability. You also can imbue your sword with Smite Evil or heal the wounded with Symbol of Healing.

-You are an inspiration to your allies. Your glow is so great that they gain an extra touch of hope that allows them to recover from Shaken faster with your Command edge.
