Savage Worlds: Gnomish Weaponry

Granted, it's all too easy to talk all about Gnomes and guns or magical weapons, but there are Gnomes who do get involved in melee combat. For the Gnome on the go, we recommend the following:


Collapsible Pick

Type: Melee; Piercing; Light
Damage: Str + d6
Range: 3/6/12; Thrown

Notes & Specials: First designed as a self-defense tool for Gnome spelunkers, the collapsible pick offers a piercing attack against a target. As the name suggests, the pick is designed to collapse for easy storage in a knapsack or backpack. The pick adds +1 to Strength rolls involving hewing something, such as a gem from rock or a gem out of the eye of a large statue.







Gnome Hook-Hammer

Type: Melee; Blunt & Piercing
Hammer Damage: Str + d6
Hook Damage: Str + d6
Range: Melee

Notes & Specials: Originally a multipurpose gemcutting and smithy tool, the Gnome Hook-Hammer can also be re-purposed as a weapon. This is a double-weapon, which a user can switch as a free action once per turn. The hammer side adds AP 1 vs. Rigid Armor. The Hook side adds piercing damage for targets that might be weak to piercing, it also adds +1 to Strength checks to excavate and object.


Warpick

Type: Melee; Piercing
Damage: Str + d8
Range: Melee

Notes & Specials: This serves as a choice weapon for both Mountain Dwarves and Gnomish excavators. This reinforced pick also adds a +1 Strength to excavate objects.










War Wrench

Type: Melee; Blunt
Damage: Str + d6
Range: Melee

Notes & Specials: This reinforced war wrench serves in many ways like a hammer. It gains AP 1 vs. Rigid Armor such as plate and adds +1 to Repair checks.
