Monster: Bodak

Brief: This gnarled and twisted creature, its skin a dark or pale gray stands hunched over with a low moan issuing from low hanging jaw. Inky black smoke, it smells terrible, issues from the eye sockets of this creature. Its head turns and twists as it looks at its fresh prey and issues another terrible moan.

The Bodak is an undead that was created by an unfortunate soul exposed to the negative energy plane or an occult ritual. They wander the land, despising all life and longing to spread the misery it feels among others. The Bodak is said to channel its moan into a cursed sound that slays mortals. Those slain by the Bodak's call rise and themselves become Bodaks.

The Light Spell harms their sensitive flesh. A Bodak within the template of a Light takes a -2 to trait checks.

This special, longer lasting version of Obscure is created by a large cloud of smoke that issues from the Bodak's eyes. The smoke covers a LBT area. A Bodak may use this power to counter an on-going Light power with an opposed Spirit vs. Caster roll.
